Every year on this day, April 28, workers, families, and employers remember those who have lost their lives on the job, and renew commitments to creating safer workplaces – to strive to prevent workplace deaths, illnesses and injuries.
In commemoration of the National Day of Mourning, JGC Fluor (JFJV) and its contractors will stop operation, shut down equipment, and observe two minutes of silence at 10:30 a.m. (PST) at the LNG Canada project site in Kitimat, B.C. to honour and remember those who have died from workplace injuries or illness.
We also take this day as an opportunity to renew our ongoing commitment to being Safer Together.
