The first phase of open burning for the LNG Canada Project is close to completion. Some intermittent burning may occur in the coming weeks, dependent on the venting index which indicates when weather conditions are suitable to burn.

Community Notification

LNG Canada is now safely receiving gas from the Coastal GasLink pipeline and low-level flaring has commenced at our export facility in Kitimat. More visible flaring will begin in the coming weeks.
