Fluor Canada Ltd., acting for and on behalf of JGC Fluor BC LNG Joint Venture, hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Fluor Canada Ltd. has deposited with the Minister of Transport, and on the on-line Navigable Waters Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) under registry number 5535 and NPP File Number 2022-506745, a description of the following work, its site and plans:
Temporary placement of a debris boom within the marine terminal for the LNG Canada project
in, on, over, under, through or across Kitimat Arm in District Lot 7940, District Lot 981 except Block A, Lot 1 District Lots 981, 5469 and 7940 Plan 12731, District Lot 5469 Except Plans 5906 and EPP41247, Range 5 Coast District, in Unit 95, Block J, 103-H-15, near Kitimat, British Columbia, within the traditional territory of the Haisla Nation.
Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation can be sent through the Common Project Search site mentioned above under the Comment section (search by the above referenced number) or, by sending your comments directly to Navigation Protection Program, #820-800 Burrard St., Vancouver, BC, V6Z 2J8, if you do not have access to the internet.
However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received not later than 30 days after the publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
